Sonya is, at heart, a fairy tale. It draws on the stories we grew up with: the eternal struggle between light and dark, and brave kids who never leave a friend in trouble.
Every location was painted by hand, with the warmth and texture that only hand-drawn art carries. We wanted players to feel like they had stepped inside an illustrated storybook.
Even years later, Sonya holds a special place in our hearts. It remains, arguably, the most beautiful game we have made.
